Oklahoma’s 2018 recruiting class has now grown to 18 commitment’s thanks to a Saturday pledge from 3-star safety Delarrin Turner-Yell. A product of Hempstead, Texas, Turner-Yell had recently decommited from Baylor (August 17th) causing many to speculated that he was coming north of the Red River to play his college ball.
At 5-10/165 he packs a bigger punch as a defender than you’d imagine, and his 4.45 speed in the 40 makes him a solid cover safety and possibly a factor in the return game. He becomes the third safety commitment in Oklahoma’s 2018 class, joining fellow 3-star prospects Patrick Fields and three-star Jordan Austin.
