Closing out the weekend, the Big 12 Conference has announced the winners of the weekly awards. This go around, it’s Oklahoma State quarterback, Mason Rudolph, who has been labeled as the Offensive Player of the Week.
Playing on the road, the senior signal caller threw for 376 yards and three touchdowns through the air. While Rudolph is typically thought of as a pro-style quarterback, the athlete showcased a different talent on Saturday. Taking off from the line of scrimmage, Rudolph crossed the goal line twice using his legs instead of his arm. A large reason why the Cowboys won the game on the road, the senior accounted for five touchdowns over the weekend.
Securing the first such award of the season for the Cowboys, the quarterback will look to continue putting up big numbers. The program is set to face the Baylor Bears in Stillwater, OK on October 14th after a bye week.
