Oklahoma City picked up a big win on Wednesday at home against the Golden State Warriors, and while it was cause for celebration for the obvious reason of beating Kevin Durant and the defending NBA champs, it was big on other levels as well. The Thunder has struggled to find its groove, often due to a lack of consistent energy from start to finish in each game. Two nights ago, however, Oklahoma City looked locked in from the start, and they never let up, maintained their composure, and held on for a big victory.

Tonight, the Thunder hosts the Detroit Pistons, one of the hottest teams in the Eastern Conference. At 11-6, the Pistons currently sit in the two-spot in the Eastern Conference, so a win tonight would solidify that Oklahoma City is making consistent improvements and moving in a direction that could feature a lot of wins.
