Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #3 Preview: Philadelphia 76ers

Tonight the Thunder takes on the Philadelphia 76ers in the regular season home opener, and when you take a look at the schedule for the next couple of weeks (Warriors twice, Lakers twice, Clippers once), this may be OKC’s best shot at a win. The Sixers are still missing Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid isn’t entirely healthy, and miraculously, the Thunder is just a 7.5-point underdog.

Thunder Against The Spread | If Embiid Plays OKC Doesn’t Have An Answer

While we don’t know for sure who is available for the 76ers yet we do know that Dort in out for the Thunder tonight. If Philly plays its typical lineup then this could get ugly. If they rest players then it should be pretty interesting. Regardless, we all know that OKC doesn’t want to even sniff a win right now.

OKC Thunder | Game #61 Preview: Sixers

The Oklahoma City Thunder has lost 13 consecutive games, and while it is impossible for them to even tie the NBA record of 26 straight losses, they could get close if they don’t win another game this season. With just 12 games remaining, only 4 of them are against non-playoff teams. Tonight, the Thunder takes on the Philadelphia 76ers on the road.

Thunder Against The Spread | Here’s One Reason For Hope Against Philadelphia

Once again this is the real challenge for tonight in my opinion. Philadelphia only hits the over in the second night of a back-to-back 44% of the time and OKC only hits it 46% of the time coming off a day of rest. That said, the Thunder are going over the total 63% of the time at home this season and have done so in four of the last five games. With no emphasis on the defensive end of the floor right now it’s really hard to pick the under.

OKC Thunder | Game #13 Preview: 76ers

Tonight, the Thunder hosts the Philadelphia 76ers, who are 9-5 on the season despite dealing with a flurry of injuries and players being forced to sit due to health and safety protocols. Joel Embiid is out tonight, which benefits OKC, who has struggled to protect the paint this season.

Hits & Misses | How Key Players Fared In OKC’s 108-92 Loss

We identified three players for the Thunder to keep an eye on. Two of them struggled from the floor and one was the Player of the Game for OKC. Here’s what we said pregame.

Oklahoma City At L.A. Clippers | Players To Watch

For Oklahoma City it was a renewed effort in playing defensive basketball and starting off the third quarter strong. The Thunder held Golden State to 26.9% shooting from long-range and forced the defending world champs into 21 turnovers. Even more important, OKC’s most explosive quarter was the third in which they came out of the locker room to produce 32 points.
