Oklahoma not only received a commitment on Thursday from 4-star outside linebacker Nick Bonitto they also signed him. The 6-3/204 standout from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida became the 21st commit of OU’s 2018 class, and the 17th to have signed.
“I’ve come to the conclusion that I want to spend the next three to four years at The University of Oklahoma,” Bonitto said after committing at the Under Armour All-American Game. “You know, Coach Riley’s really building something special over there, and just to be a part of that, it’s just a blessing in itself. And I can’t wait to be in Norman for the next three or four years.”

It’s not just Oklahoma signing another player type news though. Even after suffering a loss in the College Football Playoff, Oklahoma’s 2018 class is trending up. Bonitto is rated as a 4-star prospect by 247Sports, who also has him as the nation’s 18 outside linebacker, making him the 10th 4-star commitment of the 2018 class. That was enough to move the Sooners to #9 nationally in the 2018 class rankings per 247Sports.
