The current streak is at ten games and counting. That’s how many Oklahoma Softball has won in a row, including a 5-0 weekend run hosting the OG&E Tournament. The Sooners swept #17 South Carolina, in two games, and they also blanked Illinois State with wins on Friday and Sunday.
Freshman Jocelyn Alo went 3-for-4 from the plate, with two RBI, to help boost the Sooners to an 8-run performance. Alo got the scoring started in the bottom of the third when she knocked in Kelsie Arnold with a singled through the left side.
Oklahoma plated four runs in the third and then three more in the fourth before capping off their scoring with another RBI single through the left by Alo to complete their second shutout win over the Redbirds by a final of 8-0.
Parker Conrad pitched the entire six innings, allowing just one run and striking out six batters along the way, to pick up the win.
The Sooners won their five weekend games by a combined score of 35-6.
