Trae Young Earns USBWA First Team All-American Honors

With the NCAA Tournament set to begin this week, the USBWA decided to announce those names worthy of an All-American Team selection. Dominated by first year players, the First Team featured three freshmen including the Oklahoma Sooners’ Trae Young. Over the course of the season, the point guard posted 27.4 points per game to pace the rest of the country. However, Young also led the nation in assists per game at 8.8 becoming the first player to lead all others in the two statistical categories.

Now, the All-American is preparing to face Rhode Island after escaping a NCAA Tournament “play-in” game. Set to tip on Thursday, the rest of the All-American crew joins in on the fun later. Here’s a look at the USBWA list of All-Americans
