OKC has plenty of opportunities to show what they’re made of this month as they have a league-high 5 back-to-backs starting with tonight’s second game of a back-to-back on the road against the Atlanta Hawks. Despite making it to the Eastern Conference Finals just a few years ago, the Hawks have fallen off badly. Despite having one of the league’s top offenses, they are just 13-19 on the season due to their bottom tier defense.

This is a classic trap game for OKC. Heading out on the road for the second game of a back-to-back after defeating the NBA’s best record is a tall order, regardless of who the opponent is. Thankfully in this case, it’s against the Atlanta Hawks, who are not having such a great season. Losers of 4 of their last 5 at home, the Hawks are just 1-12 against the spread at home, while the Thunder has the best road record in the league and has gone 9-4-1 against the spread on the road. Regardless, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has played like a top-10 player this season, and I think he will look like the best player on the court tonight. I’m taking OKC to win this one.
