Oklahoma Baseball continued its hot streak on Tuesday evening with a shutout win over Texas Southern.
Catcher Brady Lindsly extended his hitting streak to six games with a 2-for-3 performance from the plate that produced two runs scored and two RBI. Redshirt-sophomore center fielder Kyler Murray scored three times on the night and the Sooners plated a total of twelve runs off twelve hits.
From the mound redshirt-junior right-hander Lane Ramsey picked up his first win on the year after throwing four innings in which he allowed just one hit and fanned four Texas Southern batters. Freshman Aaron Brooks also struck out four batters in three innings of relief. Jake Terry and Zack Matthews also took the mound to help preserve the shutout.
Tuesday night’s win was the second shutout of the season for the Sooners. In the month of March Oklahoma is 7-2 and they’ve won five of their last six games.
OU will face Texas Southern again on Wednesday night with the first pitch set for 6:30.
