Mesquite, Texas inside linebacker Kendrick Blackshire still has a lot of high school football left ahead of him. That’s not stopping the offers from rolling in for the Class of 2021 prospect though.
The Oklahoma Sooners just jumped in on what is already an impressive list of schools that would like the 6-2/230 prospect to come play for them. Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, LSU, and Texas A&M, as well as four other schools have already offered Blackshire.
I’m extremely blessed to receive an offer from University of Oklahoma @coachbullus @chrishudler @HornJagsRecruit @EJHolland247 @247recruiting @OU_CoachKish pic.twitter.com/e5ra4VAjOB

In 2017 Blackshire recorded 69 total tackles (6 for loss) and 3 sacks.
Oklahoma’s 2019 and 2020 classes are already highly ranked by various recruiting services, but the Sooners don’t currently have any commitments for 2021. Landing a commitment from a talent like Blackshire would go a long way in getting 2021 started.
247Sports has Oklahoma’s 2019 class ranked #1 in the Big 12 and #2 nationally. They also have OU’s 2020 class with the same ranking, even though the class only has three members at this time.
