Oklahoma’s 2019 recruiting class was already one of the best in the country but on Saturday it became even better. The Sooners had already locked in a 4-star quarterback, a 5 and 4-star receiver, and a 4-star tight end. Now they’ve got a running back to go with it.

Marcus Major made his decision public early Saturday evening with the above Tweet. The 4-star prospect out of Millwood becomes Oklahoma’s 14th commitment for 2019, a class that is already the top-ranked recruiting group in the Big 12.
At 6-0/200, Major is the 17th ranked running back in the nation and the #4 overall prospect from the state of Oklahoma. He held offers from 16 different schools, including Big 10, Pac 12, and SEC heavyweights Michigan, USC, and Alabama.

In the Big 12 Oklahoma was able to hold off Texas, Baylor, and Iowa State to land Major’s commitment.
With the legitimate possibility of Rodney Anderson leaving after this season for the NFL Major’s commitment was much needed. He was recruited by Jay Boulware and Cale Gundy.
