Head Coach Skip Johnson received a commitment from the No. 15 ranked third baseman in the incoming baseball class according to Perfect Game. Expected to graduate this year, Jaret Godman pledged his talents to the Oklahoma Sooners on Monday evening via social media. There’s no question that Godman remains a welcomed addition to the class and to the university.

Although, the 6’3″ Godman projects well at third base, the high school senior showcased versatility playing several positions. Toward the end of the last year, the Las Vegas product posted a 92 MPH fast ball from the mound as a right-handed pitcher. In comparison, the rest of the pitching class averaged 79 MPH throughout the course of the season.
Despite throwing right-handed, Godman steps up to the plate as a lefty. Drawing interest from across the nation for obvious reasons, the incoming freshman chose Oklahoma over Auburn, Oregon State, Miami, and Texas Christian. Godman will sign a letter of intent on Tuesday after the official visit on Monday went extremely well. Welcome aboard!
