On Monday morning, the Maxwell Award announced the initial 85 college football players showing up on their preseason radar. The award is given to ‘America’s College Player of the Year’ annual and features 33 running backs this season. One of those just so happens to be Oklahoma State’s Justice Hill.

With two seasons of 1,000+ yards, the now junior enters the upcoming season expecting to carry the load offensively. As the focus shifts to the running backs in the conference, Hill could easily produce his best year to date. Possessing 14 100-yard rushing games, the star of the O-State roster looks to build upon the current resume. However, the explosive skill position player proved capable in more than just the rushing attack.
Semi-finalists for the Maxwell Award will be announced on October 29. Yet, all hopefuls look forward to hearing their names called on November 19 as one of three finalists. The pursuit for the award begins on August 30 for Hill.
Across the board the Big 12 has long been a QB and WR league. That could change to RB this season.
