Friday Locks Week Two | We’re Loading Up On TCU And All Of Those Points

We posted a not so terrible 8-4 record against the spread last week but we’re going to try to improve on that where we can all be above .500 with our picks. The eight wins were aided by two of us going 3-0, which subswquently means two of us went 1-2.

Miss St (-8) vs Kansas State | Last week the Wildcats overcame a 12 point deficit to win the contest. But that was against an FCS school. With the step up in competition, I see no realistic way KSU keeps this one close.

Ohio State (-35) vs Rutgers | After thrashing an opponent by 40 points last week, which I said couldn’t happen, OSU looks like the real deal. For that reason alone I’m taking the other side of the coin this go around.

Clemson (-12) vs Texas A&M | In week one the Aggies put up 750 yards of offense. They’ll run into a stout defense in week two with the Tigers on deck. Possessing two viable quarterbacks, Clemson has the edge in every facet of the game. This one belongs to the Tigers who look primed for a return to the CFP.

Zack
Clemson (-12) | Texas A&M | Call it SEC bias, but I’m not sure how the Aggies are only 12-point underdogs. Kyle Field is home of the 12th man, but I don’t see the Tigers winning by fewer than two touchdowns.

Michigan State (-6) at Arizona State | The Spartans had a tough time with Utah State last week, so I anticipate that they will want to prove they’re not as bad as they looked. The Sun Devils had a blowout win in their opener against UTSA, but I think ol’ Sparty will cover easily in Tempe.

TCU (-22.5) at SMU | The Mustangs lost by 23 to North Texas in their opener last week. A week later, the Horned Frogs are only favored by 22.5? I’ll take that any day.

Craig
USC +6 at Stanford | I think USC is the real deal this year. Despite playing on the road, I think the Trojans will dominate this game on Saturday.

Georgia -10 at South Carolina | Everyone knows that the Bulldogs are an elite team once again this year. We will find out just how good they are this weekend. In my opinion, Georgia wins this one by three touchdowns.

TCU -22.5 at SMU | TCU has an extremely talented defense to go along with their offense and I expect them to show out on Friday night. SMU is not the SMU of the past, and the Horned Frogs will dominate them.

Matt
Friday Night Special – TCU -22.5 at SMU | We didn’t get much of a look at TCU last weekend. The Frogs were able to hit cruise control in their 55-7 route of Southern. We did, however, get a good look at SMU and it wasn’t pretty. I like the Frogs to roll again here.

Mississippi State (-7) at Kansas State | I hate to pick on Bill Snyder here but the Wildcats struggled heavily last week. Now they take a huge step up in competition with the Bulldogs coming to town. I don’t think it’ll be a blowout but MSU takes this one by more than a touchdown.

Stanford (-6) vs. USC | Here’s all you need to know about this one. The Trojans are rolling out a freshman quarterback in a big game against a team that has a Heisman Trophy candidate. The Cardinal take this by at least a touchdown.
