On October 6th, the Oklahoma Sooners swing south while the Texas Longhorns trek north for the annual Red River Rivalry. Descending upon the state fair of Texas, thousands of fans must once again arrive early for the 11:00 AM CT kickoff.

It’s quite a joke in my humble opinion. Three weeks into the season and the Big 12 Conference’s premier program has received the early time slot on three consecutive occasions. Sure, the upcoming contest brings about a late start but there’s a catch — it’s Pay-Per-View only. Now this?
By the time the Red River Rivalry comes to an end, the No. 5 ranked Oklahoma Sooners will have weathered four early starts in a six week span. Yes, that’s a complaint but sometimes, it’s just the way the cookie crumbles. At least fans can attend the fair afterwards.
If you’re unable to attend the contest, all the action will be broadcast on FOX.
