Storylines
Neither team has been overly impressive in running the ball this year. But, the Texas Longhorns are currently trending upward with a pair of wins over ranked foes. However, the biggest test awaits in the Cotton Bowl as Tom Herman hopes to secure a marquee win. Relying on the play of the defense, UT continues to limit opponents’ scoring opportunities. Can this secondary keep up with the speed and talent the Oklahoma Sooners possess at the receiver position?
Oklahoma may have the most efficient offense in the country. Yet, this test provides the best secondary Kyler Murray has faced all season long. Starting for the first time in th RRR, Murray must remain poised. On the other side of the ball, it’s poor tackling that remains the story of the Sooner defense. In a heated rivalry, the Sooners are once again favored heading into the contest. Will the undersized secondary be able to limit the big play consistently?
Odds
Oklahoma (-8)
Predictions

So…whichever team makes the better defensive adjustments is going to win.
Basically any adjustment would be good at this point…
Well, there’s an adjustment…
A much needed one! I always view the first drive as a drive to get the jitters out especially with such a young defense for OU
What’s defense?
What is life?
What is an illegal block on the quarterback after throwing an interception?
Don’t think the INT phased Murray at all.
I’ll never understand snapping the ball out of shotgun when you’ve got 1 yard to go. Why make it a 6 yard run?
+1
I’m trying really hard not to get super nervous over this…but I’m super nervous.
I take my comment about Murray not being shaken up back. He looks a bit nervous for the first time all year.
This is not good!
Murray needs to dig deep and find some of what Baker Mayfield had.
Problem is that only Baker had that.
Kyler just needs SOME of it, not all of it….
In spite of the mistakes, OU looked much better that possession.
OU has to improve on the ligma in the second half.
Speechless
