Over the course of an 82 game season, your team is bound to play some big games. Here at Heartland Sports we’ve come up with the biggest games of the 2018-2019 Thunder season.
Coming in at number nine is Paul George’s return to LA. Oklahoma City will take on the Lakers on Wednesday, January 2nd at 9:30 PM CST. This will be George’s first game in LA since deciding to re-sign with the Thunder.
Paul George played a couple of solid games a year ago in LA. He was the leading scorer for OKC in both games with 24 in the first meeting, and 29 in the second. However, George wasn’t too happy with his overall shooting performances there. He will be looking for an overall better season of shooting this year, and not just against the Lakers.
Paul George was cheered for a year ago by LA fans in order to try to sway his free agency decision. This year, I’m sure it will be much different. It’s very likely that PG13 will be welcomed with a loud “boo”.
It’s definitely going to be interesting to see how he deals with that kind of crowd. After already playing in Indiana last season in front of his former crowd, George isn’t new to that kind of welcoming. I expect a very calm and collected Paul George on January 2nd.
