|Friday Locks Week 7 Results|
LSU (-6.5) vs Miss State | After upsetting Georgia last week, the Tigers silenced more than a handful of doubters — myself included. This week the spread doesn’t seem to be adjusting so I’ll take LSU at home, under the lights to cover.
Oklahoma (-8) vs TCU | The past several years between these two has been decided by minimal points. However, I’m not sure TCU has the offense to hang tight with OU despite the Sooners defensive struggles. It’s a new era and I’m banking on a shutout…or at least an 10 point win.
Alabama (-29) vs Tennessee | The Crimson Tide has not let me down yet even with sizeable spreads each week. I’m gonna ride the train of the only elite team in the country until it fails.
Oklahoma (-8.0) at TCU |The Sooners are coming off of a tough loss at the Red River Showdown, and TCU has not looked good for a few weeks now. I anticipate a smackdown. Don’t be surprised if Oklahoma wins by 3+ touchdowns.
Alabama (-29.0) a Tennessee | Give me a reason to doubt the Crimson Tide. I just can’t find one right now, unfortunately.
Mississippi State at LSU (-6.5) | The Tigers are coming off of a big victory over Georgia, which is a perfect opportunity for the Bulldogs to come in and spoil things this weekend. Don’t count on it, though, as I believe LSU is going to ride this hot streak for a while.
Oklahoma (-8) at TCU | I haven’t had much success picking the Sooners this season. Hopefully that changes this weekend. I think Oklahoma will come out looking for a big win after their embarrassing performance against Texas. The Sooners are the overall better team in this one.
Washington State -3 vs. Oregon |Oregon is coming off a huge win against Washington. I think there will be a bit of a “hangover” so to speak for the Ducks. Washington State wins a close one by a touchdown this Saturday.
Ohio State – 13 @ Purdue | The only reason I slightly hesitated on this one is due to the fact that Ohio State is playing on the road. That being said, the Buckeyes are a playoff team this year, and playoff times win big games on the road. I’ve got the Buckeyes winning by two touchdowns this weekend.
Maryland (+9.5) at Iowa | I like the underdog here. The Terrapins are scoring nearly 32 points per game will will be going up against a very stout Iowa defense. However, the Hawkeyes are scoring at just about the same pace. This sets up for a close game and not a 10-point margin.
Cincinnati (+3.5) at Temple | The undefeated Bearcats find themselves nearly a 4-point dog on the road to a three loss Temple team? There’s something not right about this. Here’s your “easy money” pick of the week right here.
Illinois (+25) at Wisconsin 31 | The weather forecast for Madison, Wisconsin is cold and wet. That’s not great news for heavy favorites as those types of games tend to get sloppy. Give me Illinois and all those points.
