Alex Abrines made a surprise appearance in Tuesday nights game against the Orlando Magic. Abrines was not expected to play prior to the game.
Abrines entered the game with 7:58 left in the second quarter. He record 3 points on 1-2 shooting from the floor. Although he only played six, this is huge considering these are the first minutes he has played since December 23rd.
Watching in OKC tonight and just did a double take, because that’s Alex Abrines out there.

This is especially huge considering just two days ago Thunder head coach Billy Donovan said Abrines is, “not in a position to play right now”. Abrines has been out for over a month for “personal reasons”.
Whatever the situation is, it’s good to know that Abrines is improving. Playing tonight is the first step to what is yet to come. The Thunder is without a doubt to have him back in rotation.
