Following the recruiting trail, the Oklahoma Sooners have shifted the focus from the east coast to the state of Texas for the moment. Looking for elite defenders, two defensive back prospects from the Dallas-Fort Worth area received offers from the university late Monday evening.

The 2020 defensive back, Ryan Watts revealed the scholarship offer through the social channel of twitter. As a member of the Little Elm program, the rising prospect received numerous offers in the waning days of January. Evaluating the talent pool, Watts current holds a 3-star rating. However, if interest continues to pour in the number of stars should in turn increase as well. Looking toward the future while holding the interest of programs from the Big 12, PAC 12, and Big 10 a decision must be made. Will Oklahoma gain an edge over the handful of programs hoping to court Watts?

Continuing the trend, the coaching staff refused to waste any time and energy while scouting the DFW area. During the 2018 campaign, Jahari Rogers played on both sides of the ball — quarterback and defensive back. Taking home District 4-6A MVP honors, the Sooners clearly have an interest in Rogers for his defensive abilities. The 2020 recruit has plenty of time before making an official decision.
