Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Paul George will sit out tonight’s home against the Philadelphia 76ers with soreness in his right shoulder.
George has struggled over the last couple of games, shooting a combined 11-43 (25.6%) from the field, including 5-23 (21.7%) from three. He has contributed in other areas, tallying a combined 21 rebounds, 12 assists, and 6 steals in the two games, but he has not been nearly as effective on the offensive end as Thunder fans have grown accustomed to.
The injury does not appear to be serious, and he is likely just resting for one game, especially considering the 76ers are dealing with their own injuries. Perhaps a little bit of rest will do George some good, and he can get back to scoring like the MVP-candidate that he is.
