As Oklahoma City general manager Sam Presti is quietly becoming a candidate to replace Magic Johnson in Los Angeles there seem to be plenty of Thunder fans who are willing to help him pack. In the wake of falling into an 0-2 hole in their playoff series with the Portland Trailblazers, OKC fans have made him the target of their frustration and disappointment.
Been saying it from time. Sam presti needs to be fired
— Roli Tshindane (@RoliTshindane) April 17, 2019
Sam Presti needs to prioritize shooting this summer my heavens https://t.co/6C8ASMB7Kz

Billy D ain’t bad. He works with what’s given and right now I honestly don’t think Sam Presti has made the moves we kind of expect from him. The players we have now have developed in to having an outdated form of skills. If we are in need of a 3, we can’t even buy one.
— Big Time Timmy Jim (@Sea_Towne) April 17, 2019
@okcthunder Sam Presti’s first move as an acting GM for what was then the Seattle SuperSonics was to trade Ray Allen. The Ray Allen that went on to win multiple championships with TWO other franchises. Wouldn’t you say his actions since then have been similar?
— justin larkin (@justinlarkin12) April 17, 2019
People think Sam Presti is a genius? He got rid of Harden, Ibaka and couldn't keep KD. Created a team with zero shooting and built a team around a superstar whose game is not championship calibre. Genius? lmao
— 2JAYS (@AngryCeltics) April 17, 2019
If Lakers get Sam Presti RIP that boy going to trade away all the shooters & MVP’s so he can keep the worse one which is honestly Kuzma 😂
— Tragic Magic (@Jakkeeeup) April 17, 2019
First Round outs. Where Sam Presti, Billy Donovan coaching and inflated payrolls will get you in #OKC.
— Brandon Drumm (@BrandonDrumm247) April 17, 2019
Presti has wasted away some of the greatest players in the NBA by putting shit around them.
Just sad.
Brandon you're 100% right.
— Ronny (@ElRonnyBoy) April 17, 2019
He also put 2 coaches with no NBA head coaching experience on the bench.
Presti is so much to blame, but he is always given a free pass.
Or, presti has wasting some of the greatest NBA players by installing two coaches who have no NBA experience and don't know how to coach in the league
— Tanner Brodess (@Tannerbrodess) April 17, 2019
If Sam Presti has not managed to add shooting to OKC for a decade are we sure he is a top GM?
— NoTechBen (@NoTechBen) April 17, 2019
That was a very good 1st qtr for OKC. Tired of hearing Sam Presti talk about non-paint twos when a team full of good mid-range players shoots 15% from 3.
— Mark Rodgers (@markrsports) April 17, 2019
I LOVE Russell Westbrook, but it’s pretty sad that Sam Presti drafted him, Kevin Durant, and James Harden… yet he kept the WORST of the 3.
— Ben Stinar (@BenStinar) April 17, 2019
Sam Presti’s model of athleticism over shooting CLEARLY doesn’t work. It’s never going to. #35 made up for that when he played here, but he’s not walking back into this building, ever. Time to rethink the strategy, or say goodbye to Presti. ✌🏻 #TerrysTakes
— Terry Fox (@theterryfox) April 17, 2019
Absolutely ridiculous that he’s still in a job. And it’s on Sam presti for building a team full of non shooters around Westbrook.
— Elias (@Everymonday6) April 17, 2019
Why hasn’t Sam Presti found OKC some shooters around Russ?! You’ve had 10 years to figure this out my guy
— Niegel Stevens (@Niegel_Stevens) April 17, 2019
I been thinking all morning All us thunder fans will be sitting and waiting and watching to see what Sam presti is gonna do with this team whenever the season is over and I honestly won't be surprised if nothing is different when the season starts next season and that's just sad.
— Travis (@_TRAV23) April 17, 2019
I think #BillyDonovan may find himself out of a job if the @okcthunder lose this series to @trailblazers. Not like Sam Presti to let the status quo continue even when things are good. And right now things are bad.
— Akshay Manwani (@AkshayManwani) April 17, 2019
Thunder and NBA fans, is it premature to conclude that Sam Presti is an exceptional talent evaluator and drafter, but terrible at managing and integrating players and coaches to optimize leadership, chemistry, and on court success?
— ᒍustin Smith (@Justin__Smith) April 17, 2019
Heard @ChrisBHaynes & @ColinCowherd say this today on @TheHerd & can’t agree more.. Billy Donavan will be gone after this season, an it’s not his fault. GM Sam Presti is the blame. NBA moved to shooting yrs ago & Presti continues to add athletic defenders. ADD SHOOTERS #ThunderUp pic.twitter.com/1dsKz8upNd
— soulgifted (@S0ULGIFTED) April 17, 2019
Time to fire Donovan and Sam Presti. This team is done. #OKCvsPOR
— PackWoodz (@THCMeBallin) April 17, 2019
How do I get a truck delivered to the homes of Billy Donovan and Sam Presti @uhaul?
— Bill Johnston (@BJohnston15) April 17, 2019
@okcthunder After this poor showing in the playoffs and the Thunder’s steady descent it’s been made it EXCEPTIONALLY clear Sam Presti’s vision for the Thunder is not a fruitful one as. We need a new GM. We needed 1 the moment we acquired the SuperSonic’s rights. #firePresti
— justin larkin (@justinlarkin12) April 17, 2019
@okcthunder Please. Please fire Sam Presti.. this is unacceptable. Especially when our backup has a higher PER and is paid 23 million less. Presti has made critical mistakes at every turn and spent the rest of his time attempting to play cleanup. pic.twitter.com/UxJYiGJaqy
— justin larkin (@justinlarkin12) April 17, 2019

— Token_BK (@TokenBK1) April 17, 2019
Because Sam Presti believes athleticism beats shooting😂
— Hunter VanHorn (@doctorhvan) April 17, 2019
The Trailblazers seem to be using a revolutionary strategy in which they make 3 point shots to score points. Interesting tactic. I wonder if Sam Presti is evaluating this strategy.
— a browns fan, i guess (@christianreese_) April 17, 2019
It’s worth noting that Sam Presti did make one of the worst trades in NBA history… Could also be argued he mishandled one of the greatest collections of talent in recent history.
— Kevin Tom (@KevinSn32196638) April 17, 2019
I've been saying this for a few years now, but I don't get why people think Sam Presti is a good GM. He let two of the five (?) current best players in the NBA get away virtually without anything in return. https://t.co/5ppozaKZZd
— Brady Vardeman (@BradyVardeman) April 17, 2019
Sam presti might’ve just realized that having no shooters doesn’t work
— (0-2) ⚡️thunder up ig ⚡️ (@DabrodieNakDak) April 17, 2019
So when is Sam Presti going to be held accountable for his inability to get shooters @okcthunder?
— 1ofAmerica'sFinest (@c_raiden) April 17, 2019
OKC doesn’t have shooters and it seems that Sam Presti doesn’t care
