Oklahoma Sooners Football Recruiting| 2020 ATH Kitan Crawford Receives Offer

Towards the end of April, the Oklahoma Sooners lost the commitment of ATH Drew Sanders, a member of the 2020 Recruiting Class. Scouring the nation for another, the coaching staff found a target south of the Red River. Extending an official offer, the program remains interested in Kitan Crawford.

Crawford, a 4-star recruit according to 247Sports and ESPN, experienced a significant uptick in activity in February with several Power 5 schools showing interest. As an efficient two-way player on the high school level, the recruit possesses the speed to play running back. However, Crawford also displayed the instincts required to play defensive back on the next level. Needless to say, the list of suitors is set to grow exponentially as this athlete enters a senior year.

Currently, the Sooners have five running backs on the roster. Most expect two of those to enter the NFL Draft after the upcoming season. The move would leave the program with two underclassmen and one upperclassman for the future. Crawford could easily fill a void. But, the defense clearly needs help as well. Regardless of the situation, this kid fits in nicely with the Sooners. Will he commit?
