Gilbert, Arizona offensive tackle Noah Nelson made his commitment to the University of Oklahoma public on Monday night via Twitter.
The 6-8/285 product of Williams Field High School was thought to be headed to Michigan as a part of the 2020 class but Bill Bedenbaugh’s track record of placing linemen in the NFL makes Norman, Oklahoma one of the top collegiate destination for the guys up front.
Nelson was on campus at OU on May 3rd and made his decision ten days later, following a visit to UCLA.
Ranked as a 3-star prospect by 247Sports, and a 4-star prospect by Rivals, Nelson has received 17 total scholarship offers, including from programs like Arizona, Auburn, Oklahoma State, Washington, USC, Michigan, and UCLA.
He becomes the eighth member, and second offensive tackle, of Oklahoma’s 2020 class. 247Sports currently has the Sooners with the top recruiting class in the Big 12 and #14 nationally.
