Oklahoma City Trades Paul George To The LA Clippers

News broke just before 1:00 AM CST on Saturday morning that the Thunder traded Paul George to the LA Clippers.

The Thunder will receive four unprotected first-round picks, one protected first-round pick, and two pick swaps. OKC will also receive Danilo Gallinari and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Paul George approached the Thunder within the last few days and requested to be traded to the Clippers. This decision from George came after Kawhi Leonard began recruiting him to team up in LA.

Shams Charania reported that teams have been aware that Russell Westbrook and Paul George were discontent.

At this point, we don’t know if the discontentment was towards the organization, or towards each other. My guess would be that the two stars were upset with the Thunder’s front office. Westbrook and George seemed very content with each other both on the court, and off.

Many Thunder fans have been in favor of a complete rebuild. Now, they’ll finally get their wish.

  1. Just don’t trade Jeremy Grant or I may just have to stop
    Following the Thunder.

  2. Grant is now gone, you can bet Adam’s & Westbrook are next! The genius is single handedly destroying the thunder! Please replace Donovan & presti while your @ it!!!
