Kennedy Brooks was the victim of a deliberate cheap shot in Saturday’s game against Texas Tech. While the hit looked to have caused substantially more damage than it actually did, Oklahoma fans will be relieved to know that he’s just fine.
Brooks finished the game with 29 yards on 8 carries. Lincoln Riley said after the game that he could have returned to action if needed but they held him out as a precaution.
“It was a bad play and thankful that Kennedy wasn’t hurt worse, because he should’ve been,” Riley said.
