Oklahoma Sooners, Oklahoma State Cowboys

Friday Locks Week 6 | Loving Oklahoma State & 10 Points

M. Hofeld

The instant overreaction is one of the greatest part of sports in general. A week ago Texas Tech was thought to be one of the most improved defenses in the Big 12. Now it seems like a forgone conclusion that they will lose by more than 10 points at home. Which side of that line are you on?

Friday Lock Results
NameLast WeekOverall

Iowa (+3.5) at Michigan | I think that Michigan is fake news and things are about to real uncomfortable in Ann Arbor for Jim Harbaugh.

Oklahoma State (-10) at Texas Tech | I have a hard time seeing Texas Tech score a lot of points without Alan Bowman or slowing down Chuba Hubbard and Tylan Wallace. I don’t think that it’ll be close.

Texas (-10.5) at West Virginia | West Virginia has bounced back nicely after getting embarrassed against Missouri. But Texas is quite a bit better than Kansas and NC State. I do think the Mountaineers will put up more of a fight than I thought at the beginning of the season but I still believe that Texas will win comfortably.

Oklahoma State (-10) at Texas Tech |  At this point, the Cowboys have exceeded expectations. On the flip side of the coin, the Red Raiders are trending in the opposite direction. Give me Spencer Sanders and OSU here to cover.

Texas (-10.5) at West Virginia | The Mountaineers are scoring 25 points per game but they’ll need much more than that to upend some programs in conference play. I think Texas dominates the time of possession and forces a couple of turnovers leading to a convincing win. I could be wrong but my gut says take the Longhorns in this one.

Georgia (-24.5) at Tennessee | The Bulldogs bring a top ten defense to Knoxville while the Vols rank 104th in total offense. It’s a recipe for a blow out in my opinion.

Texas (-10.5) at West Virginia | Does playing in Morgantown earn the Mountaineers a couple of extra touchdowns? I expect the Longhorns to win by at least 20 points.

Oklahoma (-32.0) at Kansas | The best offense in the country against the worst team in the Big 12? Yeah, I’ll take the Sooners by like 50.

Tulsa (+13) at SMU | Are the Mustangs actually good? They might be, but I’m not convinced they can beat the Golden Hurricane by 2 touchdowns.

UCF (-4) at Cincinnati | Despite playing on the road, the Knights are the better football team here. They should be able to win this one by at least a touchdown.

Auburn (-3) at Florida | I’m not buying into the hype surrounding the Gators. However, I do think Auburn is legit. I think they will win this one by a touchdown.

Oklahoma State (-10) at Texas Tech | I think the Cowboys are legit this season as well. They feel like they have a lot left to prove after losing to Texas a couple of weeks ago. I’ll take the Pokes with a big win on the road.

UCF (-3.5) at Cincinnati | I think this game is going to be a lot of fun! If you’re into the Friday night games then you won’t want to miss this one. The Knights have the nation’s 6th ranked scoring offense and that will ultimately prove to be the difference here. Bonus: Take the over as well!

Utah State (+26.5) at LSU | Beware of the trap!! The Aggies are a pretty decent football team and LSU is a week out from a potential Top 10 matchup with Florida. I like Utah State and all of those points.

Iowa (+3.5) at Michigan | Everyone seems to be unloading on the Wolverines and that includes me. This appears to be a sinking ship at the moment.
