The Oklahoma City Thunder will once again be without the Big Kiwi as Steven Adams sits out today’s game with a left knee contusion. It will mark the second game in a row that Adams has missed and will raise more than just a few eyebrows as to the severity of his injury.
Although he is sitting out today’s game he did get some work in on the floor. That has to be a bit of a good sign for OKC fans wondering how long it will be before he’s back in the lineup.

OKC fell three points shy on Portland on Wednesday night in their first game without Adams. Nerlens Noel started in his place and posted 15 points in 28 minutes of playing time. Even without Adams in the lineup the Thunder were still able to beat the Trail Blazers on the boards by a margin of 55-49. Obviously that is a trend we would like to see continue into today’s game with the Pelicans.
Through four games played this season Adams is averaging 6 points and a team-high 11.8 rebounds in just over 27 minutes of playing time.
