Setting the Stage

The Oklahoma State Cowboys (6-3) enjoyed a bye week last weekend hot off 34-27 victory over the TCU Horned Frogs, and now they are looking to finish out the last few weeks of the season on a strong note.

After suffering an embarrassing 45-27 loss at the hands of the undefeated Baylor Bears, the Cowboys have won their last two games to become bowl eligible, but they’re not done yet.

Now, the Cowboys host the Kansas Jayhawks (3-6) in Les Miles’s return to Stillwater. Miles was the head football coach for Oklahoma State from 2001-2004, and in his first year as head coach for the Jayhawks, the improvements are already obvious.

Kansas has been the cellar dweller of Big 12 football for much of its existence in the conference, but Coach Miles has already made an impact. At 3-6, Kansas has matched it’s season-high in wins for the last decade, and with 3 games left, they’re hoping to get to at least 4 wins for the first time since 2009.
