Focusing on preparation for a bowl appearance, the Oklahoma State coaching staff recognizes the recruiting opportunity ahead. Wasting no time, Jason MacEndoo reached out to Terrance Ferguson, a 2021 tight end prospect. Apparently things went smoothly as the conversation ended with an official scholarship offer.
Rated as a 4-star recruit by 247Sports, Ferguson is the No. 10 tight end prospect in the country and holds offers from LSU, Ohio State, and Oregon to name a few. Standing 6-5, the receiver reeled in 54 receptions for a total of 929 yards. Averaging 17.2 yards per catch, the tight end helped Heritage High School to an 8-4 overall record after closing out the season in the playoffs.
There’s no denying the Cowboys search for a tight end began the moment Grayson Boomer announced his intentions to transfer. Of course, Ferguson is not the only prospect the Cowboys will consider. Yet, the 4-star recruit is clearly the most coveted of the bunch thus far for O-State.
