There hasn’t been an aspect of this Dallas Renegades team that has been under more scrutiny than the offense. Through five weeks of football they have led the league in turnovers, and failed to score a single touchdown in two games.
On Monday afternoon the Renegades announced that Jeff Jagodzinski will be the offensive coordinator moving forward.
The announcement states that Hal Mumme is not able to continue his responsibilities due to the leg injury he suffered when colliding with Cameron Artis-Payne two weeks ago.
Lots of fans have been calling for a change on offense. The timing of this announcement makes you wonder if this is truly about the leg injury for Mumme. Hal has been adamant about running the air-raid offense despite maybe not having that kind of talent on his roster.
The Renegades have failed to establish the run game at the midway point of the season. Could this coaching change be the necessary move to finally get the offense rolling?
