I don’t think that Caleb Williams is close to making a decision on which college he will attend. However, after a prolonged visit to Norman over the weekend the nation’s top quarterback prospect has confirmed what he felt towards Oklahoma.
On his blog, for SI.com, Williams wrote the following about his visit.
I got the clarity that I needed. Having the trust in coaches and mentors Mark and Russ, my dad and my mother being with me, it also helped that they asked a few questions that I wouldn’t know to ask and they gave us the answers. It felt like it was the truth, what they were telling us.Caleb Williams
Williams (6-2/209) is a product of Gonzaga High School (Washington D.C.) who currently holds 22 scholarship offers. A consensus 5-star prospect, Williams is thought to be deciding between Oklahoma and LSU.
Among the other activities he and his family we involved in over the weekend were extensive visits with Lincoln Riley (about strategy), campus tours and a visit with President Harroz.
Interesting fact here – Penn State and Clemson are the only two other universities where Williams has met with the president.
The rumors surrounding Williams is that Oklahoma is out in front in terms of his recruiting. If true, this weekend visit may have been the cherry on top so to speak when you look at his post-trip comments. Especially the one about clarity.
