As we slowly approach the 2020 NFL Draft, the debate to crown WR1 continues to rage on. Tossing a bit of fuel on the fire, the New York Jets slid a bit of information across the table. On the receiving end of the note, Matt Miller of Bleacher Report revealed this:
I did learn throughout calls and texts this week that they are high on Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. He’s WR1 on the team’s board and wouldn’t be a surprise pick at No. 11 overall.Matt Miller

Previously, it was widely accepted that the Jets would select the Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver and Biletnikoff Award winner, Jerry Jeudy with their first round pick. As possibly the best route runner in the class with a skill set that easily translates to the NFL, Jeudy long held down the role of first wideout off the board.
Following suit, the Raiders were expected to take Lamb at No. 12 overall in the upcoming draft. However, each franchise continues to utilize mind games to conceal their true desire. As it currently stands, Miller stated that every source he’s spoken to has the Jets eyeing an offensive tackle in the first round. This goes against many of the mock drafts currently being published.
Knowing mind games will rage on, fans won’t know where each of the receivers land — including Henry Ruggs III — until the latter half of April.
