Sooners Host Key JUCO DB For Virtual Visit

After receiving a boost to the 2021 recruiting class on Friday the last thing you’d expect from Oklahoma’s coaches is to rest on their recruiting laurels. The most challenging aspect of this recruiting cycle isn’t found in just recruiting top-notch defensive talent but also finding top-notch talent that can have an immediate impact. That’s where junior college guys like Khyree Jackson come into play.

When Oklahoma offered Jackson back in February his scholarship count was only at 9 and over the last two and a half months the East Mississippi Community College standout has more than doubled those offers, currently standing at 20.

At 6-3/185, Jackson has the size and length that Alex Grinch is looking for with his corners. With his scholarship count continuing to grow, Oklahoma took advantage of technology and hosted Jackson on a Saturday virtual visit.

The Sooners seem to be trending favorably with Khyree Jackson, with Maryland and West Virginia very much in the mix as well. Here’s to hoping that Saturday’s virtual visit gives Oklahoma an edge.
