Keon Coleman announced on Friday, via Twitter, that he’ll be making his commitment decision on July 4th. That resonates with Oklahoma fans because 5-star quarterback Caleb Williams has set Independence Day as his announcement date as well. Not only that, the top quarterback in the 2021 recruiting class has said that he’s not coming alone.
Connecting the dots isn’t going to be hard here because Coleman dropped his Top 3 schools earlier this week with Oklahoma in the mix along with Kansas and South Carolina. With that announcement came a crystal ball prediction from 247Sports Shea Dixon that the 6-4/185 receiver was Norman bound. Now Dixon isn’t alone in feeling that way. Three other insiders gave Coleman the Oklahoma crystal ball prediction on Friday as well.
A 6-4/185 prospect from Opelousas, Louisiana (Opelousas Catholic High School), Coleman is ranked as a 4-star prospect by 247Sports who also has him ranked as the #14 receiver in the nation and the #5 overall prospect from the state of Louisiana.
A three-sport star (Basketball, Football, Track) Coleman has Division I scholarships in both basketball and football. Last season he scored 22 touchdowns on 35 catches and averaged 32.7 yards per catch as a junior.
