Oklahoma’s Austin Stogner Named To Mackey Watch List

Austin Stogner became the ninth Oklahoma football player to be named to a preseason watch list when he was named in the John Mackey Award watch list on Friday. The award released the names of 36 players to keep an eye on for the award given annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end.

Oklahoma’s 6-6 sophomore, from Plano, Texas, caught seven passes last season for 66 yards and two scores. His biggest performance game in the regular season contest at Baylor where he caught both of his touchdown passes in OU’s historic comeback.

Stogner is joined on the list by Charlie Kolar (Iowa State), Pro Wells (TCU), and Jalani Woods (Oklahoma State) from the Big 12.
