We are officially under one week until the Thunder is back in action. At this point, the wait is killing me!
Let’s take a look at Hamidou Diallo who wears number 6 for the Thunder.
Hami was selected 45th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Brooklyn Nets. His draft rights where then traded to the Charlotte Hornets, and then to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
While Diallo isn’t by any means a franchise changing draft pick, his presence on the Thunder roster certainly has made an impact. He brings more athleticism and energy to this young Thunder core.
At times, he has shown promising flashes. He recorded a career high 18 points against the Sacramento Kings in 2018.
His most note-able achievement in his short career so far is winning the 2019 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. He became the first Thunder player to ever win the dunk contest. By dethroning some of the best dunkers in the league, Diallo put his athletic abilities on display for the world to see.
He has spent time with both the Thunder and the Blue ( OKC G League affiliate) the past two years. Hopefully in the next few years we see Diallo embrace a full-time roll on this Thunder roster.
