Sooners Pick Up Second Crystal Ball Prediction For #7 Safety In 2022

At 6-0/190 Chace Biddle is quickly becoming one of the more highly sought-after prospects in the 2022 recruiting class. The Garland, Texas safety has earned 21 scholarship offers to date and despite a strong push from Texas and Texas A&M the chances of him crossing north of the Red River to play college football seem to be growing.

On Wednesday Oklahoma picked up a crystal ball prediction from Brandon Drumm (OUInsider) to land Biddle. It was the second such prediction in as many days leads to the possibility of an already strong 2022 class getting even stronger.

247Sports has Biddle as the #7 safety in the class, the #19 prospect from the state of Texas, and the #101 overall prospect in the 2022 class. A two-way player with legitimate track speed, Biddle would fit perfectly in Alex Grinch’s secondary. He has the length that Oklahoma’s defensive coordinator desires from his defensive backs and he catches the ball well enough to merit time as a receiver as well.

Oklahoma’s 2022 class is currently loaded with 4 and 5 star talent but is currently lean on the defensive side of the ball. Of the five commitments the Sooners have to date linebacker Kobie McKinzie stands alone on the defensive side of the ball.

While the Sooners currently seem to be in the lead, Biddle is also considering Michigan along with the Texas schools.
