Things aren’t slowing down much for Oklahoma football recruiting following a busy 4th of July weekend. On Wednesday the Sooners added the 13th member of the 2022 recruiting class, continuing their quick rise back up the national rankings.
Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nevada) offensive tackle Jake Taylor became the third offensive lineman, and second tackle, to join the class. At 6-6/290, 247Sports has Taylor listed as the #17 offensive tackle in the recruiting class and the #6 overall prospect from the state of Nevada. A longtime lean towards the Sooners, Taylor had 21 scholarship offers and made his intentions towards Oklahoma official on Wednesday.
Adding Taylor to the class boosted OU well ahead of Texas in the Big 12 recruiting rankings and placed the Sooners at #4 nationally, behind Ohio State, Penn State, and Notre Dame.
