This Week’s Picks

Craig

Oregon vs. Utah | Utah dominated this match up just weeks ago. It will be much closer this go around, but Utah edges out the Ducks in the end.

Georgia vs. Alabama | Georgia is the best team in the country plain and simple. Alabama won’t go away easily, but the Bulldogs will win this one by at least a touchdown.

Baylor vs. Oklahoma State | Oklahoma State has one of the best defenses in the country and an offense that has been getting better each week. I think they’ll handle Baylor with ease.

Matt

Oregon vs. Utah | A first ever Rose Bowl berth is on the line for the Utes but standing in their was is an Oregon team out for revenge. Oregon is going to have to find answers at the point of attack in order to stay alive in this one and that’s why I’m sticking with Utah. I believe this will be closer than the 38-7 score we saw two weeks ago but the Utes still cover here.

Georgia vs. Alabama | This is pretty much as close to “Must See TV” as it’s going to get on Saturday. The Bulldogs haven’t faced an offense like the Tide is going to bring and conversely Alabama hasn’t faced a defense like Georgia’s. I think ultimately the Bulldogs end Alabama’s Reign of Terror on the S.E.C. but it’ll be tight.

Oklahoma State vs. Baylor | The Cowboys head to Arlington, TX as the top team in the Big 12 and the team with all of the pressure. Oklahoma State potentially has a College Football Playoff berth on the line and this is their first ever appearance in the conference title game. Baylor was in Arlington two years ago and have a strong enough defense to keep this one close throughout.

Rich

Houston at Cincinnati | “The Bearcats are attempting to spoil an all Power 5 CFP to end the season. With a talented quarterback and a head coach capable of managing every in-game situation, it’s obvious Cincy should win this game on paper. But, don’t count out a 10-1 Cougar squad looking to ruin the perfect season of their opponent. There should be plenty of offensive fireworks and this one comes down to who possesses the ball last for me.”

Georgia vs. Alabama | “Georgia has had the best defense in all of college football from start to finish. Slowing down opposing teams and down right stopping others, this is the game the Bulldogs have prepared for all season long. Wanting to show out, it’s Alabama that will be overrun by the opposition this time as UGA wins by two scores.”

Oklahoma State vs. Baylor | The Cowboys are the hottest team in the Big 12 at the moment with hopes of making the College Football Playoff. Backed by an experienced defense, it’s no surprise that OSU is the odds on favorite. However, don’t sleep on the offense. With Warren in the backfield, the pressure is relieved from Sanders. Expect big plays and plenty of points in this one.

Zack

Michigan vs. Iowa | Since starting 6-0, the Hawkeyes have gone 3-2, but they finished the regular season on a 3-game winning streak. I don’t think they have what it takes to beat Michigan, but they’re definitely going to keep this in the single digits.

Houston at Cincinnati | The Bearcats have earned their way to a top-4 spot in the College Football Playoff rankings, but after a slip-up in their season opener, Houston has been solid. I definitely don’t think this will be a double-digit game, so I’m giving the Cougars the spread.

USC at Cal | I’ll be honest. I’m only picking against USC because of Lincoln Riley. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
