It’s not hard to read between the lines here. Caleb Williams has been getting a tour of the sports life in California this weekend. He’s there with wide receiver Mario Williams who has entered the portal as well and has stated that he wants to play wherever Caleb Williams lands. He’s assumably taking a visit to USC while he’s there as well.
Initially it didn’t seem likely that Williams would join Lincoln Riley out West. However, I’ve had the feeling it was a great possibility since Caleb’s Dad stated that getting ready for the NFL was the number one priority for where he plays next season. Let’s be honest, no one has done a better job at getting QB’s ready for the NFL over the last 5 years than Lincoln Riley.
Where Jaxson Dart will land remains a mystery. I’d say Oklahoma has a chance, but the program seems pretty set on Dillon Gabriel as their guy for next year.
It’s an unfortunate situation but all signs are pointing to Caleb Williams not returning to Norman next year. If Dillon Gabriel transferring to OU wasn’t enough, this Jaxson Dart news has to be pretty telling.
