Friday Locks | Week 10

Last Week’s Picks

We’re still hovering just at the .500 mark on the season. Two of us produced winning records last weekend.

This Week’s Picks

TCU (-8.5) vs. Texas Tech | I’m surprised to see that TCU isn’t favored by more. I’m also surprised (not really) that they aren’t higher in the CFP rankings. I think TCU puts on a show in this one.

Tennessee (+8) at Georgia | Tennessee has won some impressive games at home this season. Now it’s time for a big road test. I think they will get the job done this weekend.

LSU (+13.5) vs. Alabama | At the end of the day I expect Alabama to leave Death Valley with a win. But, LSU will keep it close.

Virginia (+7) vs. North Carolina | I’m going against the gain on this one. UNC is eyeing a spot in the ACC championship game and this is a perfect opportunity for them to get caught looking past the Cavilers. That’s a bad move in a rivalry game.

TCU (-8.5) vs. Texas Tech | Texas Tech would need the perfect game, and TCU need to be in a bit of a funk, in order to pull this upset. I really don’t see the Red Raiders having the firepower to compete with the Horned Frog’s offense.

Tulsa (+7) vs. Tulane | Here’s another trap opportunity to possibly take advantage of. Tulane could be looking forward to its showdown with UCF and not see a Tulsa team that’s just good enough to cause some frustration and panic on its home field. This has all of the feels for a one-score finish to me.

Kentucky (-1) at Missouri | The Wildcats are coming off an embarrassing loss to Tennessee. They’ve also lost three of their last four. Still, Missouri isn’t that good, and I expect Kentucky to come back with a vengeance. They’ll win this one and cover the 1-point spread easily.

Oklahoma State (+1) at Kansas | The Cowboys continue to ride the injury bus, and that’s why the Jayhawks are the favorite here. I don’t even care. Oklahoma State has no business losing to Kansas.

Tennessee (+8) at Georgia | I’m not sure Tennessee is “top team in the nation” good, but they’re pretty good. Georgia, on the other hand, is definitely good. I think this is going to be a fight to the end, so I’m safely picking the Volunteers to at least keep it a single-score game.
