Week 2 of the 2023 NFL season kicks off tonight with Minnesota (0-1) visiting Philadelphia (1-0). Both teams had their moments of good and bad in Sunday’s openers. However, it was the Eagles coming away with a 25-20 win at New England while the Vikings 20-17 at home to Tampa Bay. The two squads will try to get the kinks worked out tonight but’s it’s been a short week, so that could lead to some sloppy, yet fun, football.

Why We’re Taking Minnesota +6
Taking the underdog to cover on the road is where we went wrong on Sunday. Houston +9.5 was the only bet that we missed in the Texans/Ravens game. That said, we’re taking the road underdogs to cover again tonight. The reason why is, close games in what Philadelphia does. They were five points better than New England on Sunday, that was following a Super Bowl performance in January where they lost by three to the chiefs. Six of Philadelphia’s last nine regular season games have been decided by just one score.
Why We’re Taking Philadelphia On The Moneyline
Close games is Philadelphia’s specialty, but losing has been the recent trend for the Vikings. Yes, I realize it was only the preseason, but Minnesota was winless in August and then they carried that over to last week’s opening weekend. I don’t see them ending that streak tonight.
Why We’re Taking The Under
Philadelphia plays a “grind it out” offensive style of football, particularly when they have the lead. Both teams suffered through a little bit of offensive sloppiness on Sunday and, with just three days to prepare to this one, I feel like the under is a pretty safe bet.
