Why the Thunder Will Cover (-4)
Luka Doncic was out for personal reasons last night (the birth of his daughter), which means there’s a good chance he won’t play tonight either. If that’s the case Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will definitely be the best player on the floor. With no Luka, the Mavericks lose a lot of what they do and changes how they play quite a bit, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Still, the Thunder are the better and deeper team here, so they should be able to get a solid win in Dallas.
Why the Game Will Hit the Over (235.5)
Even without Luka Doncic, Dallas can still score some points. On the flip side, the Mavericks aren’t exactly stiff on the defensive side of the ball. The Thunder can pour it on when needed, and I can see the scorekeeper staying busy tonight.
