I try really hard not to get excited about the next recruiting cycle until the current one is finished. There are some players who make that extremely difficult though, and Michael Fasusi is one of them. The 5-star offensive tackle, from Lewisville, Texas, is making waves within the Sooner Nation and there’s a good reason for it.
Earlier in the week, Fasusi made a trip to Oklahoma and then had this to say in regards to his interest in the Sooners, “OU would be, like, on the top of all the schools right now. Just my relationship with Coach Bedenbaugh, what they got going on over there, the culture.”
That’s high praise from a guy that is currently sitting on 36 scholarship offers after just his junior season of high school ball. The 6-4/285 lineman is rated by 247Sports as the #2 offensive tackle prospect for the 2025 recruiting cycle and the #4 overall prospect from the state of Texas. All of the heavy weights are checking in with offers, including Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and Texas.

There’s so much time left before 2025 recruits can make anything official so squelching some enthusiasm might be a bit wise at the moment, but then again that’s kind of hard to do when recruiting is currently the only game in town in terms of Sooner Football right now.
