Oklahoma Sooners Land Commitment From 4-Star Cornerback Courtland Guillory

The Oklahoma Sooners have landed a commitment from highly-touted Texas high school cornerback. Courtland Guillory is a four-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting class and is ranked 364th overall.

A talented player with a lot of upside. Guillory is known for his height and ability to disrupt plays in the backfield. The Sooners are excited to add him to their defense and believe he has the potential to be a major contributor early in his career.

“What stood out is that Oklahoma staff treats me just like family. My relationship with their staff is different from the rest. Their message to me was they really want me to come in and produce early. Coach Venables and [Jay] Valai constantly remind me of how much of a priority I am to their program,” Guillory told Sooner Scoop in April.

Guillory chose Oklahoma over offers from Texas, Texas A&M, and UCF. He is the latest in a long line of talented defensive backs to commit to Oklahoma.

The Sooners are building one of the top recruiting classes in the country in 2025. With the addition of Guillory, their class is now ranked No. 6 in the nation by 247Sports.
