Emmett Jones Delivers: 4-Star WR Commits to Oklahoma

Oklahoma’s recruiting momentum is taking flight after a successful official visit weekend. On Monday, the Sooners landed a major commitment from highly-rated wide receiver Marcus Harris.

Harris, a consensus four-star recruit, is ranked among the nation’s top 17 wide receivers and among the top 25 players in California by major recruiting services. He impressed scouts with his all-around game, boasting impressive size (6-foot-1, 185 pounds), athleticism, and sure hands. His highlight reel showcases his ability to make acrobatic catches look routine and separate from defenders with advanced route running.

Despite battling injuries in the past, Harris looks healthy and primed for a big senior season. His talent is undeniable, making him a coveted prospect for numerous Power 5 programs. Ultimately, Harris chose Oklahoma over offers from UCLA, Tennessee and 29 other offers, giving the Sooners a significant boost on the recruiting trail.

This commitment adds to Oklahoma’s already impressive 2025 recruiting class. Harris becomes the 16th pledge and joins two other talented wide receivers in the Sooners’ future receiving corps. Massive credit goes to receivers coach Emmett Jones and the Oklahoma staff for absolutely lighting up the recruiting trail.
