Oklahoma Sooners Land Top Recruit Emmanuel Choice, Bolstering Wide Receiver Class
The Oklahoma Sooners football program continues to build a strong foundation for the future, with wide receivers coach Emmitt Jones playing a key role. On Sunday, Emmanuel Choice, a standout wide receiver from Lancaster High School in Texas, committed to Oklahoma, becoming the 17th member of the Sooners’ 2025 recruiting class and the fourth wide receiver recruit.
Choice, a highly sought-after prospect with offers from programs like Texas A&M, USC, and Nebraska, chose Oklahoma after his official visit on June 21st. 247Sports ranks Choice as a three-star recruit, the 66th wide receiver nationally, and the 62nd player in Texas.
This commitment adds to Emmitt Jones’ successful recruiting efforts. Last week, Jones secured a commitment from Marcus Harris, another talented wide receiver for the 2025 class. Choice joins Gracen Harris, Elijah Thomas, and Marcus Harris, solidifying a strong receiving corps for the Sooners’ future.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds, Choice is a physical presence on the field. He excels at high-pointing passes and using his size to overpower defenders. Additionally, his route running creates separation, and his physicality allows him to gain yards after the catch.
This early commitment signifies Coach Jones’ ability to identify and attract top talent. Oklahoma was the first school to offer Choice a scholarship in May 2023, and their persistence paid off as Choice ultimately chose the Sooners over several other programs that we in on him.
