Series History
The Thunder went 1-1 against the Bucks last season (1-0 at home, 0-1 on the road).
Why the Thunder Will Cover (-4.5)
Milwaukee is arguably the hottest team in the East right now. They have the longest win streak at 3, and they have won 8 of their last 10 and 12 of their last 15. Oklahoma City, however, is the hottest team in the league with 5 straight wins—each by double digits—and 9 in their last 10. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are the best players in this matchup, but the Thunder has a much deeper bench. That will be especially important for two teams playing an extra game in the regular season that doesn’t really count for much more than bragging rights.
Why the Game Will Hit the Over (216)
I doubted the top 2 defenses on Saturday when OKC and Houston matched up for a low-scoring affair. I’m not making the same mistake again tonight. While Milwaukee is 13th in the NBA in defensive rating, they move up to 8 when you take a look at their last 15 games. While this game isn’t anything official or particularly important like a playoff game, I do think both teams will play hard and try to win, so I’m taking the under on the point total.
