Series History

So far this season, the Thunder is 1-0 against the Suns (1-0 at home, 0-1 on the road). The Thunder has won 4 in a row against the Suns and 4 of the last 5 meetings in OKC.

Why the Thunder Will NOT Cover (-12)

Phoenix is one of the worst good teams in the NBA. They can be really good, but they’re so inconsistent that they’re barely over .500 on the season, and they fail to meet expectations regularly. Still, the Suns have lost just 7 games by more than 11 points, and Devin Booker has been playing particularly well lately, scoring at least 30 points in 10 of his last 15 games. I think the Thunder wins convincingly, but I see Phoenix covering the spread, even if it’s because of a late-game push.

Why the Game Will Hit the Over (227)

Phoenix has seen their last 4 outings go well over this point total despite losing 3 of those contests. OKC has been a little more consistent defensively, but if the Suns manage to get some offense going, this line could clear easily. I’m expecting it to be close, but I’m taking the over.
